This volume contains three fragments from different creative periods in Schoenberg's life as a composer: the "Serenade" in D major for small orchestra (1896), the symphonic poem "Death of Spring" based on a poem by Nikolaus Lenau (1898) and a work written almost 50 years later with the title "Fanfare for a Bowl Concert on motifs of the Gurrelieder" for brass instruments and percussion (1945). The "Serenade" in D major and "Death of Spring" are published here for the first time. Instrumentation: orchestra
